Candid moment during a wedding ceremony at Palo Duro Canyon

Amarillo Wedding Planning Resources

What is candid photography?

Candid photography is about documenting people as they naturally are, without stopping a moment to recreate it. In a wedding setting, that means capturing real laughter, quiet glances, hugs, tears, and the small in-between interactions that happen when no one is performing for the camera.

The goal isn’t to make the day look perfect — it’s to preserve how it actually felt. These images tend to feel more personal and lasting because they’re rooted in genuine connection. Rather than relying on constant posing, we observe carefully, anticipate moments as they unfold, and step in only when guidance is needed.

Should we add videography?

It’s one of the most common questions we hear. The honest answer is that photographs and video serve different purposes — and for many couples, having both is something they’re grateful for years later.

Photographs are still. They capture a single, held moment — the kind you frame or pass down. A wedding film is different. It holds your voice, your laughter, the sound of your vows. It brings the day back in a way that feels living and present.

We don’t push video on anyone. But if you’ve found yourself thinking about it, there’s usually a reason — and it’s worth taking a moment to consider what you might want to hold onto.

Photographs let you see the moment. Video lets you feel it again.

Common questions

How far in advance should we book?

Wedding dates fill up quickly, especially in the spring and fall. We recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind — even if everything else is still coming together. The sooner we connect, the better chance we have of making it work.

Do you travel outside of Amarillo?

We serve the Texas Panhandle, eastern New Mexico, the Oklahoma Panhandle, and western Oklahoma as part of our regular coverage area. For destination weddings, we're always open to a conversation — just reach out and let us know what you're planning.

What's included in a wedding collection?

Every collection is custom-built around your day. We'll talk through your timeline, your priorities, and what matters most — and put together something that fits. We'd rather take the time to get it right than hand you a generic package.

How long until we receive our photos or film?

We'll share an expected turnaround during your consultation so you know exactly what to plan for. Our goal is always to deliver work we're proud of — thoughtfully edited and ready to keep.

What if we're not comfortable in front of a camera?

Most people aren't — and that's completely normal. Our approach is built around making you forget we're there. We'll give you gentle direction when it helps, and step back when the moment calls for it. The goal is always for your day to feel like your day.

Graphic Design – ShyAnne Asteria

ShyAnne Asteria is an artist and graphic designer based in Amarillo, Texas. Originally from North Carolina, she settled here after graduating college in New York City and meeting her husband — and that blend of roots and creativity comes through in everything she makes.

She works closely with clients to design pieces that reflect their personalities, their story, and the feeling they want their event to have. From elegant invitations and RSVP cards to coordinating design elements, her goal is to make every detail feel intentional and beautifully connected to the memories being made.

She also created the logo and visual identity for Texas Panhandle Moments — and her work is a big part of how this brand found its look.
